Big Life Changes

There has been so much change in 2008 and the beginning of 2009. Can't catch everyone up right now, but know I love you and am thinking about you. Here are some highlights from 2008 and beyond.

Uncover the Cure: The underwear affair!

This 10k race was great. Jen, Bri, Kyra and myself made up Jaguar Thunder Punch and ran with over 1000 other people to raise over $60,000. Thank you so much to all who donated and helped us reach our fundraising goals. It was great. I came in 115th with a time of 54minutes and some odd seconds. Not too bad for my first 10k. I am already recruiting folks for next year. If you are interested let me know.

More Lovely Photos of the Ladies

It is official, I am totally in love with these little ladies. They are amazing. As the weather warms they are able to spend time outside in their run. They have also grown out of their first home and have moved to their new chicken condo. Morgan has done such a great job with their housing projects. Their personalities are becoming so distinct, Sylvia is a Type A chicken and drama queen. Boozy is a sweetie and curious. Millie is strong willed and beautiful. Ruby is quite sweet and brave. Gertie is mild mannered and often times content. They are all so adorable.

Moscow Weddings and Good Friends

Had a wonderful visit in Moscow, Idaho (my home town). My dear friend Krista got married to her love Shawn. It was a beautiful wedding. It was great to catch up with Tiffany and hear wonderful stories about her new little one. I also had the pleasure of visiting with Becky and her family. I had been missing Becky a ton. Kayla and Kyle continue to grow and are such young adults now. Not sure where the time goes. Cliff and Becky are precious. Can't wait to see everyone again.

Lovely Ladies

These chicks are growing and changing so fast, they are amazing. We added two new chicks to the mix about a week ago. The two new chicks are Rhode Island Reds, they are Sylvia and Ruby. Sylvia just tested her flying wings this morning. All 5 chicks are a joy, you can't help but giggle when you peak into their brooding pen. Their personalities are developing almost as quickly as their little bodies. Stayed tuned...

Twisp in June

A weekend in Twisp is the best way to spend the weekend. Last weekend we headed over highway 20 to the warmth and beauty of Twisp, WA. It is truly one of the most beautiful places. We had the extra joy of watching our friend Cathy and the Son's of the Widow James play at the Twisp River Brewery. Our friend Jen also brought her 3 dogs so Spruce had a blast. We all shared lots of laughter, good times and good music.

I can' t wait to go back.

Welcome the Newest Additions to our Family!

These are the latest additions to our family. They are quite possibly the cutest chicks on the planet! Millie, Gertie and Boozy. Millie is the black one with the white face, Gertie is the other black chick and Boozy is the strawberry blonde. Boozy gets her name from continuously falling asleep while eating, running and standing. Right now they are staying warm, eating lots of food, drinking water (which is adorable by the way) and getting lots of sleep.
